Parvathy Omanakuttan Nair is the reigning “Miss India World 2008”. The same crown once worn by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, before she went on to become Miss World.

Earlier Parvathy Omankuttan from kerala was crowned "Pantaloons Femina Miss India World 2008". She is the First Keralite to have won both the Titles.


She was born in 1988, is 5' 8.5" tall and has vital statistics of 32-27-36.She is originally from Changanacherry - Kottayam, Kerala and now lives in Mumbai.

During the Questions & Answers round of the contest, she was asked about the rate of divorce in India, whether the reason for the rise was due to western cultural influences and the following answer won her the judge’s vote:


"Divorces are not a result of western influence. At the end of the day, it is we who decide whose worth us. Marriage is not when one completes the other but is when both share their completeness." For another question, "What’s the nicest gift a woman can give a man?" she has answered "The best gift a woman can ever give a man is the birth of a child with all her compassion and patience."
